WHO AM I

I’m not your typical coach.I know what it’s like to be overlooked. I know how it feels to doubt yourself every step of the way — and how powerful it is when someone finally shows you a path forward.
I didn’t come from privilege, elite connections, or a perfect background. I went to a university that had never sent anyone to Kellogg — and where fewer than five people globally have ever made it into McKinsey.
I wasn’t the obvious candidate. I had a GPA under 3.0, no name-brand internships, and no built-in network. But I kept showing up. After eight attempts, I cracked a 750 GMAT (98th percentile). I eventually earned offers from Kellogg, Chicago Booth, NYU Stern (full ride), and Michigan Ross (full ride) — and chose Kellogg. After business school, I did what most said was impossible: I got an offer from Bain and broke into McKinsey full-time without ever interning there, coming from a background of boutique internships and a non-traditional path.I later represented the firm as a recruiting ambassador, connecting with over 200 prospective candidates across MBA, undergrad, and advanced degree programs, and hosting prep workshops with over 500 prospective candidates.I know what it’s like to be underestimated — to be the one refreshing your inbox, wondering if anyone will give you a shot. That’s the path I’ve lived — and why I’m now helping others create their own breakthrough story.

WHY CHOOSE ME

I coach because I’ve been where you are — and I genuinely care about helping people break through. At Kellogg, I was trained as an alumni interviewer and learned how to evaluate potential beyond surface polish. At McKinsey, I led workshops on interview prep and supported selected candidates invited to interview. Through those experiences, I realized how often great people are underestimated simply because they don’t “look the part” on paper. That’s what drives me.When I was applying for my own MBA, most admissions consultants told me that the Top 16 was already a stretch — and that I should aim for schools ranked 20–30. The truth is, they barely knew me. They looked at my GPA and background and wrote me off before even understanding what made me different.I never forgot that feeling. That’s why I take a completely different approach. I coach a small number of clients because I want to understand your story, your drive, and the challenges you’ve already overcome — and help you make your case with clarity and confidence. No hype, no empty promises — just honest, tactical support from someone who’s walked the hard road too.If you're an underdog with big goals, I’m in your corner.

Review from our clients

— C. L., Chicago Booth MBA + Consultant, BCG US

"Before applying to business school, I was stuck. I had only worked at one company for seven years — no blue-chip brand, no high-flying jumps — and I didn’t know how to position that in a way that felt MBA-worthy. I found Break-In Coach through a friend and booked just one session. In 30 minutes, she helped me turn what I thought was a weakness into a focused, values-driven narrative. It wasn’t hype. It was sharp, honest coaching with real strategy — the kind that helped me walk into my Booth interview knowing exactly who I was and how to communicate it. I got the admit.A year later, I was prepping for BCG interviews and booked her again. Same realistic feedback. She picked apart my case structure and helped me clean up my thinking fast. That session flipped a switch for me — and it showed in the final round. I landed the BCG summer internship offer. Two sessions. Two inflection points. Highly recommend."
